ShopSmart publishes product research, reviews, comparisons and buying content. This policy also covers ShopSmart's private publishing tools, including the ShopSmart Publisher and the ShopSmart Auto Poster Pinterest integration.

Information processed by the website

The ShopSmart website uses Google Analytics to understand page visits and engagement. Analytics providers may process device, browser, approximate location, referral and interaction information according to their own policies.

Google and YouTube API data

When the ShopSmart Publisher is authorized with a Google account, the integration may process the minimum YouTube account and channel information required to perform authorized publishing actions. This can include the authenticated YouTube channel identifier and title, video metadata, playlists, comments and OAuth credentials.

The integration is intended to manage ShopSmart's own YouTube channels. Authorized actions may include uploading videos, updating video titles or descriptions, adding videos to ShopSmart playlists, and creating ShopSmart comments associated with its own videos.

OAuth access and refresh credentials are used only to authenticate authorized Google and YouTube API requests. They are not displayed publicly, sold, or used to access unrelated Google account content.

ShopSmart's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Pinterest integration

When the ShopSmart Auto Poster integration is connected to Pinterest, it may process the minimum Pinterest account information required to operate the integration, such as account identifiers, boards, Pins and OAuth access credentials. The integration is intended for ShopSmart's own Pinterest Business account and is used to create, read and manage ShopSmart content through the Pinterest API.

How information is used

Information is used to operate the website, measure content performance, publish and maintain ShopSmart content, prevent duplicate or incorrect publishing, troubleshoot integrations and improve the ShopSmart publishing workflow.

Data sharing

ShopSmart does not sell personal data. Information may be processed by service providers required to operate the website and publishing workflow, including hosting, analytics, cloud storage, Google/YouTube and Pinterest, subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Retention and security

Operational records are retained only as needed for publishing, troubleshooting, security and content history. OAuth credentials are stored in protected secret storage rather than public source code and access is limited to the ShopSmart publishing workflow.

Revoking access and data deletion

Google access can be revoked at any time from the connected Google Account's third-party access settings. Pinterest access can likewise be revoked from Pinterest account settings. Once authorization is revoked, ShopSmart will stop using the revoked credentials for future API requests.

Requests relating to privacy, stored OAuth credentials or deletion of integration data can be sent using the support contact presented on the ShopSmart OAuth consent screen.
